Are you a detail-oriented data professional with a strong analytical mindset and expertise in Data Vault modelling, business intelligence, and stakeholder collaboration? We are supporting a leading energy solutions provider in their search for a Data Analyst to work on a contract basis outside IR35.

In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to define data requirements, analyse datasets, and contribute to data modelling efforts, ensuring high-quality insights that drive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders to define the data inputs of business processes and translate them into technical requirements and a Data Vault model.
  • Analyse and document data sets across business workflows and systems, identifying key insights.
  • Reverse-engineer SQL scripts to create technical and business specifications, as well as use cases.
  • Work closely with data engineers and IT teams to ensure thorough and accurate data documentation.
  • Act as a bridge between business units and data teams, ensuring smooth integration of data processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Ability to translate business rules into actionable data use cases.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to lead and facilitate workshops in a fast-paced, data-centric environment.
  • Experience in data modelling (Data Vault, Star/Snowflake) and presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Skilled in Power BI data modelling and working with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Azure (Synapse Analytics).
  • Understanding of database structures, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-impact data project with a leading organisation, offering full remote flexibility.
