About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Compliance to join a leading Lloyd's Insurer. This role is critical in ensuring the compliance function operates effectively during a transitional period while they search for a permanent hire. The ideal candidate will have significant recent experience in a similar position within a Lloyd's Insurer and will be adept at navigating the approval process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the compliance function, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on compliance matters to senior management and staff.
- Monitor and report on compliance risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all communications are handled professionally.
- Support the business through the approval process, ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are in place.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs to staff.
Requirements:
- Significant recent experience as a Head of Compliance or similar role within a Lloyd's Insurer.
- In-depth knowledge of Lloyd's regulatory framework and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully managing compliance functions and navigating approval processes.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant compliance certifications or qualifications.
