About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Compliance to join a leading Lloyd's Insurer. This role is critical in ensuring the compliance function operates effectively during a transitional period while they search for a permanent hire. The ideal candidate will have significant recent experience in a similar position within a Lloyd's Insurer and will be adept at navigating the approval process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the compliance function, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on compliance matters to senior management and staff.
  • Monitor and report on compliance risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all communications are handled professionally.
  • Support the business through the approval process, ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are in place.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs to staff.

Requirements:

  • Significant recent experience as a Head of Compliance or similar role within a Lloyd's Insurer.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lloyd's regulatory framework and compliance requirements.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing compliance functions and navigating approval processes.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant compliance certifications or qualifications.
  • Experience in developing and implementing compliance training programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
