Position: Compliance Officer (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the insurer adheres to all relevant Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations, including the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR).
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely submission of required documentation.
Risk Management:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve compliance policies and procedures to manage regulatory risks.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure effective management of compliance risks.
Training and Reporting:
- Provide comprehensive training programmes for staff to ensure understanding and compliance with FCA regulations.
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies, highlighting compliance status, issues, and corrective actions taken.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a compliance role within the insurance industry with a London market insurer.
- In-depth knowledge of FCA regulations, including SM&CR.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
