π About the Role: As the Head of Data, you will be a key member of the newly created Transformation team. You will lead and shape projects across all aspects of data strategy and management, with the potential for a longer-term permanent role based on performance. Key success criteria include enhancing data architecture, internal & external reporting capabilities, and using MI to support internal governance in achieving business goals. You will also be responsible for hiring and developing a team to grow internal capabilities around application integration scripts, data governance & manipulation, and reporting.
π― Key Responsibilities:
- Build a strong understanding of the data environment and act as an internal subject matter expert.
- Enhance the current IT estate to create a more robust long-term data architecture, including the potential rollout of a data warehouse solution.
- Monitor integration errors, and maintenance requirements, and manage the development & rollout of relevant fixes.
- Design, develop, and roll out additional internal data analysis & reporting capabilities, including Power BI dashboards.
- Manage the design & development of additional client capabilities, from initial design through to testing & rollout.
- Oversee in-house and external development activity to ensure cohesive delivery of wider IT projects.
π Key Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering data architecture improvement projects in a corporate environment.
- Excellent knowledge of data management approaches, particularly data storage & manipulation.
- Strong analytical & programming skills; knowledge of Python, and REST-based APIs.
- Proven experience in the design, development & optimization of reporting tools (Power BI essential).
- Relevant experience of SQL and relational databases; ability to query, manipulate, and manage large volumes of data.
- Proven experience delivering IT and data transformation projects on time and within budget.
- Experience liaising with senior stakeholders and managing project lifecycles.
π Work Environment:
- Will be an initial 6-month FTC then made permanent.
- Hybrid working: 3 days remote, 2 days in the central London office.
