Head of Delegated Underwriting | Lloyd's Reinsurer | London/WFH | £1XX,000 (doe)

Finitas are delighted to be partnering with an established Lloyd's Reinsurer in their search for a Head of Delegated Underwriting to join their team. You will be managing both the Underwriting team and the Delegated Underwriting team.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Effectively create consistency and best practice across all teams and platforms involved in Delegated authority underwriting in the following areas:
    • Onboarding of new and existing Coverholders/MGA and Delegated Claims Authorities.
    • Manage both Underwriting and Operational audits.
    • Credit control
    • Bordereaux reporting and follow-up
    • Exception reporting
  • Help with the required management of vendors and regulators.
  • Manage reporting capabilities for KPI metrics, feedback to Underwriting teams on a regular basis.
  • Responsibility for reporting to internal committees such as the Customer Review
  • Committee, the London Executive Committee and other underwriting forums generally.
  • Monitor emerging and developing regulatory changes within the market and identify amendments.

Experience required:

  • A background in underwriting delegated business, with strong understanding of the
  • financial, claims and premium processes.
  • Must be from a Lloyd's/London insurance market background.
  • Strong people management expertise.
  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels including senior stakeholders and external parties.
  • Understanding of the Lloyd's market, regulatory environment and Coverholder network.

Please note you will be required to work in their London office 4 days a week.
